We are writing to inform you of some recent changes at Larksfield Surgery Medical Partnership.
Since Dr Al-Badry has left Larksfield Surgery, we have been looking at ways of maintaining and developing our services. In order to continue to provide a high standard of care that is sustainable for the future, the Partners feel that, like many practices across the country, joining forces with another practice and merger will put us in a stronger position for the future. This is important with the ongoing growth of the local population and increasingly complex care required for individual patients.
We are pleased to advise you that the Partners of Stanmore Medical Group, Stevenage, will be joining the Larksfield Partnership on 2 December 2019. We believe the practice will now be stronger, more resilient and in a better position to attract and retain new staff, across a wider range of specialities.
We would like to reassure you that this merger will have no adverse impact on the way you will receive care from the Larksfield Sugery. You will still be seen here at Larksfield Surgery by a wide range of clinical specialists including Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Emergency Care Practitioner, Nurse Practitioner Prescribing. The administration teams will be combined to allow our systems and staff to function more efficiently. This will include development of telephone and other computer communication which will improve access and direct patients to the most appropriate care for them.
The merger is being supported by Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (BCCG) and NHS England, as they strongly believe it is key to ensure the continued provision of GP services for Larksfield patients in the area and resilience in the local healthcare system.
